Description
Our presentation will elaborate on the work that the Censoring Sisters class has been doing throughout the semester. The presentation will address the roles of sisters within the history of the Catholic Church and closely examining sisters who have been censored by the church. These sisters embody the changing dynamic for religious women since the second Vatican. By closely analyzing the contemporary role of these sisters, the presentation will make hypothesis on the future and sustainability of Catholic nuns within the Church. These hypothesis will factor in the changing perspectives that have come with current Pope Francis, as well as the opinions of the various nuns that we have addressed throughout our semester in the seminar.
