Description
Mary McLeod Bethune's life is an example of how black women influenced the education of black children. Bethune was able to start her own school at the beginning of the twentieth century and it recent became an accredited university. This project looks how Bethune navigated through institutional racism to get her education, start a school, and educate other black people. This will look at the steps that Bethune took to give black children the best education in Daytona, Florida.
