Description

This study looked at the test to test reliability of our unique nine position balance test using the accelerometer of an iPhone. After testing 24 Colby College students three separate times within three days, we looked at the Interclass Correlation Coefficient to determine the reliability of each of the 9 positions. It was determined that 7 our of the 9 positions had good to excellent reliability between Test 1 and Test 3. These results lead us to conclude that the test using accelerometry is reliable and can be used in further balance testing research with regards to concussions.
