Description
My topic is an exploration of delinquent behavior at drive-in movie theaters during post-war in Los Angeles, California. I intend on exploring drive-in movie theaters as an American recreational activity. What is so attractive about going to the drive-in as opposed to conventional theaters? I will explore this multi-purpose space, which exists in juxtaposition with several other spaces and how they contribute to the overall drive-in experience. Ispace of seclusion and a space of intimacy? How have young adults taken advantage of this privacy? I will examine gender and sex norms, as well as the expansion of car culture.
