SOS- Hermann Gmeiner International Colleges (SHGIC) motto, Knowledge in the Service of Africa, encompasses the mission of the school, which is to create a spirit of Pan-Africanism and an awareness of the social needs of society. The research will provide an understanding of how the curriculum of an elite school like SHGIC can contribute to the development of a continent, in this case, the African continent. We will focus on how the different facets of the curricula contribute and reinforce SHGICs status as an elite school.
