Description
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parenting styles on the childs confidence in his/her future career aspirations. Past research has looked at the effects of parenting style on measures such as life satisfaction, or career satisfaction as adults. However, there is currently little research on how parenting styles can affect a college-aged student/emerging adults confidence in their future career aspirations. Our study can be beneficial to the relatively new research on emerging adulthood. More specifically, it can provide insight as to which parenting methods are correlated with having children who possess favorable outlooks regarding their career aspirations.
