Description
I often feel the scales of who I once was but its a secret that I havent shared until now I look in the rearview mirror and hope you dont notice me notice myself the glimmer of my flesh the airs moisture that I breathe because youd think Im crazy and Id think youre rightI drown in wind wriggle and thrash in the suns beating pulse as you watch me catch my breath and gasp for something thats not there and Im not sure where it is or where Ill find it but Im sure I once had it so I stay by the shoreand I hope youll stay with me because its hard enough alone I was reeled in to this world of chaotic being hurried schedules stressed out fathers uptight mothers everyone trying to breathe and live and be people we just cant be trying to catch one good breath while I watch and finally realize Ive found what I was looking for I stand where my toes are just touched by the oceans grace inhaleexhale but its hard when my mouth is hooked you stand beside me and watch my feet web as I look back into your eyes you recognize me for the first time we wade and plunge until I can finally breathe beneath the surface
