A symposium sponsored by the Henry Luce Foundation, October 9-10, 2009. The symposium was held in conjunction with the exhibition Art at Colby: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Colby College Museum of Art. It brought together scholars of American art and culture whose research addresses the historical and contemporary pedagogical uses of American art.
