Abstract or Description

This map shows the number of wells in Maine towns. The number of wells is indicate by a gradient ranging from yellow to dark blue. The lighter colors correspond to fewer wells. The purple polygons indicate the above ground public drinking water supply. This map was projected using the NAD 1983 UTM Zone 19N datum and coordinate system. The Maine Office of GIS provided the data for the wells, public drinking water, and towns.
