Abstract or Description

There are 165 brownfield sites in the state of Vermont. This map aims to show a newly devised brownfield index for each town in the state, using information such as water sources and brownfield proximity and density.

About the Author

Andrew Fumarola is studying Environmental Policy at Colby College in the Class of 2019. This map was made in his sophomore GIS and Spatial Analysis course.

Source Data Note

Map, brownfield, and water source data was gathered from the Vermont Open GeoData Portal. Town and city data was compiled from the Vermont Department of Labor's 2015 Economic Demographic Report.
