Source Data Note

All data were obtained from the Maine Office of GIS clipped to the extent of the counties. Elevation is visually represented as hill shade, a command run in ArcGIS in which aerial photographs are used to project a three-dimensional appearance.

This map was made for the Atlas of Maine: Downeast Edition, Spring, 2011, using ESRI ArcGIS 9 software.
