The Bald Eagle, Piping Plover, Roseate Tern, and Least Tern are examples of shorebirds that make their nests along the coast of Maine. This map shows nesting sites along with human population. Shorebird nesting sites are compared with human density in coastal counties and overall population in coastal towns.
