Video 4 of 4. The first in the Bern Porter Occasional Symposium Series took place at Colby College on August 5, 2011. The topic, "The Bomb, the National Security State and the Advanced Thinking of Bern Porter," attracted a wide variety of participants from the Arts and Sciences, and Nuclear activists as well. Keynote speakers were Joel Lipman, Prof., University of Toledo English Department, and Mark Melnicove, Literary Executor of the Bern Porter Estate. Organized by Patricia Burdick, Colby College Special Collections Librarian and curator of the Porter Collection at Miller Library.
