When patients with cancer arrive in an oncologists office, they all come with the same underlying plea for their doctor: Help me. In order to truly understand and accommodate a patients needs, the oncologist must consider not only patient diseases from a medical standpoint, but how their cancer and treatments play a role in their lives. This project observes two patient journeys and the importance of patient-doctor collaboration. Successful collaboration is necessary to achieve a balance of medical and personal goals that can help produce the highest quality of life for the patient.
