Description

What is the relationship between smartphones and social media, particularly for issues of both virtual and face-to-face communication, for construction of the self in both professional and domestic capacities, and for our cultural consciousness in terms of what this technology is doing to our cultural values and definition of connection? I examine this question by looking at the impact of globalization, the changing definition of intimacy in contemporary relationships, and the presentation of self in private and public spheres.
