Poster- Restricted to Campus Access

Description

Paper towels are routinely used and discarded in restrooms throughout campus, contributing to deforestation, unnecessary waste, expenses for the school, and the spread of germs. My proposal is to replace all restroom paper towel dispensers at Colby with hand dryers, such as the Dyson Airblade, which boasts energy-efficiency, quick drying times, and a HEPA filter for the capture of bacteria and virus particles. Their installment would reduce Colbys overall waste and resource consumption, decrease maintenance costs with a 9-12 month payback period, and prevent the spread of contagious diseases for a greener, thriftier, and healthier campus.
