Abstract or Description

This map shows the weighted risk of contracting Lyme disease for each of Maine’s school district blocks organized by county between the years 2009-2014. Each county was assigned a weighted value of 1-5 based on average number of confirmed cases per year compared to the total population. Each county is also subdivided into smaller blocks which represent different school district blocks.

Source Data Note

Data was sourced from the Maine Office of GIS and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The map was projected in NAD1983 UTM Zone 19N.
