Abstract or Description

This map displays National Guard Armories and Unclassified Department of Defense Installations in Maine. Department of Defense Installations include: naval shipyards, air stations, communication stations, and Defense Finance and Accounting annexes. The map also includes a layer for Interstate and State Highways.

About the Author

Michael Stephens is a Biology and Environmental Science double major with a concentration in Marine Biology. At Colby he is President of the Sportsmen’s Club and is a COOT leader. Michael is from Atlanta, Georgia.

The data was acquired from the Maine Office of GIS and Geo.Data.gov. The map is projected across Universal Transverse Mercator Zone 19 North using North American Datum 1983.
