In St. Servan overnight, before going on to Lambalu; anxious for Mary Robinson to stay with them in Florence; 5th (from Dlo France): three hour wait in this "very medieval" town for the train to Lambalu; 6th (from Ste. Melaine): Pauline de Cargouet's home here nice, but everything "dull as ditch water"; intends to work on articles for "Cornhill's Magazine" and "Contemporary Review."
