Abstract or Description

Bar Harbor Bounty: Shellfish Habitat near Mount Desert Island details the known habitats of four different shellfish varieties in the vicinity of MDI. The seafood industry has long been a staple for the Downeast region, and these areas are crucial habitat. The map shows near coast bathymetry and shellfish habitat data from the Maine office of GIS. It also includes general boundaries of Acadia National Park and a hillshade of the Maine coast for visual reference. This map is not intended for use in navigation.
