This map depicts the relationship between flood zones and population density in Oxford and Kennebec counties.

Source Data Note

Flood zones are as categorized by FEMA. Population data is according to the 2010 census.

Note that population density is averaged over census blocks, and, at a small scale, may not accurately represent where people are living.

All data are from the Maine Office of GIS. Maine Office of GIS data is referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system, zone 19 North, using the NAD83 datum and GRS80 spheroid.
